Beechworth Holiday Park

Do not recommend to stay here. Park looks nothing like pictures. Asked for a camping spot for a swag and given a strip of grass not suitable to sleep on. No phone signal. So disappointed had booked two nights but couldn’t stay as we didn’t feel comfortable. Was looking forward to exploring Beechworth but left and kept driving towards our final destination on our trip.

So we booked for March long weekend and requested to be close together as we have friends that we stay with every trip and cooking etc. we’re were told no guarantees but just found out we are in another section. Requested to cancel and receive a refund. The lady on reception was so incredibly rude said no your not getting a refund without even letting me speak I was never rude at any point and then hung up on me. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!

Spotlessly clean rooms. Comfortable beds. Very quiet location but still less than 5 minutes drive to the centre of Beechworth. I would take an extra bedcover- was cold overnight even in summer (there is an electric blanket, but I prefer not to use). No internet or mobile phone coverage- but I was aware prior to visiting. Great way to get teenagers off their phones! Highly Recommend. Will be back for sure.

We stayed over the long weekend - I had booked a family villa and a studio (for my parents) The villa was gorgeous, great little spot, clean, perfect. The studio my parents stayed in really needs some love, I felt bad that their unit was so old and rusty… but I know Paul is still in the process of updating everything since taking ownership, so this might be on the list. The park and facilities are 10 outta 10, my daughter had a ball, my husband was able to build the best fire pit which others joined in through the nights. The admin lady does need a little reality check on how to be nice, but I think it’s just her all over personality, doesn’t know how to smile. Paul you are an absolute legend, we will be back in further and excited to see what you do to the park Ash and Andrew

Recently stayed in a cabin, and found the hospitality from the manager very disappointing. Our cabin was right next to dump point for caravan’s toilets, and on first night, we couldn’t sit on veranda or open any windows due to terrible smell. We called the manager before 6pm about this issue and if we could change cabins, but she said cabins were full booked, and showed no empathy for our situation. (Which nobody stayed in cabin next door, for the 2 nights we stayed there). We then met some other guests who were doing a self-check in at about 9pm to their cabin, and no key was left in their envelope. Which the emergency phone number given, was not answering, so these guests had to book accommodation elsewhere!! On the Sunday, we then asked for a late checkout for 1 hour, and was again given a “no that’s not our policy” - even though no cleaners or new guests were coming in before 12pm. Our cabin was also in need of maintenance, with hand rail on ramp entry falling off, and could cause a bad fall to an elderly person. Unfortunately I think it may be time for a refresh of new managers for this park.
